The Power of ‘Nothing”

Someone told you once that you were nothing.

Maybe it was your parent. Or a teacher. A superior who had power over you and chose to use it badly. Maybe it was quieter than that—a door closed on your face, a name left off a list, a lifetime of being made to feel invisible.

You remember it. You still do. That indelible scar.

So does Arsalan.

Born in the shadow of the Ghats, on the mountains of Tamil Nadu, expelled from the only home he knew before he was old enough to understand the crime of his existence, he learned early what the world does to people it has decided don’t matter. He learned hunger. He survived humiliation. The specific loneliness of a man with no name worth keeping.

But he kept going.

Through the cobras of the forest. Through the devils of his own mind. Through men with guns and men with worse — men with agendas, men with governments behind them, men who smiled while they sharpened the knife. Through assassination attempts that should have ended him. Through a love he had no right to hope for and refused to surrender.

He kept going because there was a mission. Because there was Narjis, who simply believed in him for no reason. Because giving up meant letting them win—and that was the one thing he would not do.

This book moves fast. It will not wait for you. Because it about you, to the world, from your perspective.

Life is fast so the book is fast.

Keep up. And whatever you’re carrying—whatever they said, whatever they took — remember that the only verdict that matters is the one you write yourself.

Don’t stop. Keep up the promise that you made for yourself. That you definitely something out of ‘Nothing’.
